Happy birthday, Gunner!!

Can you believe he is one!?! I can't! We had a super fun birthday party for Gunner. It is always hard when Daddy has to miss out on fun stuff like this... but Gunner got to Skype with him in the morning and Daddy got to see Gunner open some presents... so that took the sting out of Chris being gone (just a little).
We had a nice little (but really it was big) snow storm the night before his birthday and it continued to snow for most of the day. I was a little worried people weren't going to be able to make it to the awesome party! But lots of people still got to come. Gramma, Papa, Maren, Jeff, Luke, EmJ, Nana, Papaw, his sisters, and Aunt Sissy (all the way from Kansas) got to be there.
We had lots of yummy food (a pasta bar) and some cupcakes for dessert. Gunner LOVED the pasta and he did pretty good on his cupcake. It took him awhile to figure out that the cupcake was for eating and not just playing with... but once he got it, he really loved that too!

Thanks to everyone who made his birthday extra fun and special! We sure did miss Daddy, but it is so great to know there are so many wonderful people who love our son so much!

Snow Day!!

On Gunner's birthday we got a lot of snow! The girls actually had a snow day! Lucky ducks! Aunt Sissy was here for the birthday celebration so it worked out kind of perfect. Ireland and Aunt Sissy were playing board games inside so Ireland was not interested in playing outside in the snow... but Chloe sure was. She had so much fun! Too bad Daddy wasn't here to play with her! She is a true Coloradan... a snow lover at heart! :)

So much cold, wet, snowy fun!

A Project

Awhile back the girls got to help paint their room. It use be a tan and brown color and not very girly or pretty (according to Ireland). So Nana and Papaw let them help pick out the colors they wanted to paint and even let them help out.
To say they had fun would be a huge understatement!

The room turned out super awesome and the girls love it!
A perfect room for little girls!

Happy birthday, Ireland!

It's official... Ireland is 7. I can't believe it! Looking back to this day seven years ago I never would have been able to imagine what an outstanding, wonderful, thoughtful, kind, and beautiful little girl Ireland would turn out to be! I am more proud of her every sing day!
This past weekend we got to have Ireland's birthday party. As I am sure most of you know, Ireland loves a good themed party. This years theme was cooking. She wanted to have a cooking party where each kid made their own lunch and then made their own ice cream sundae. We also decorated our own aprons.
It was a lot of fun... so without further ado... here is the party in pictures!
Our gourmet chef's... Chloe, Ashley, Lexi, Ireland, Maddie, EmJ, and Grace.
(Gunner, Maren, Nana, and Mommy were there too).

Gunner had a lot of fun watching the girls and hanging out... he is such a party animal!
Here are the girls making their aprons...

Ireland got so many great gifts! She was moving so fast so I didn't get many pictures! But she loved every single gift she got!
And finally, our ice cream sundaes! We had vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream. With sprinkles, chocolate and strawberry syrup, whipped cream, and even cherries on top. Needless to say, they were a BIG hit!

It was a great birthday party! Thank you to everyone that was able to come! The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been Daddy... but we know he was thinking about us the whole time just like we were thinking about him!
