I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I know we did! We got to go to Texas and spend the holiday with Chris' family. It was so great. The girls had a wonderful time! Between pink eye and windy weather, they got lots of time to play with their cousin Connor and spend hours on the trampoline! I have posted a load of pictures below to try and give you a glimpse of our Christmas! Enjoy!
Gran ordered a ham from the HoneyBaked Ham store... this is the line Kellie and I had to wait in to pick up the dang thing... and this is AFTER we had waited in line for about 30 minutes already! It was a looooong wait... but a yummy ham!
It is one of our family traditions to make sugar cookies for Santa... well, this year we weren't with Nana, so they didn't get made from scratch. I bought some premade stuff and we just decorated them and then ate them! Santa was lucky 2 actually lasted until Christmas Eve for him!
You can tell in this picture that Ireland's eye is a little red. She ended up getting pink eye (which Chloe had before we left for Texas). But Ireland's eye ended up getting scratched or something and it got a lot worse than normal pink eye. Poor thing couldn't even keep it open for most of Christmas Eve.
We were so happy to have Daddy home with us this year! Its hard to believe that only a year ago he was over in Iraq all alone for Christmas! We were very blessed this year!
It is also a tradition to open jammies on Christmas Eve. They girls each got a cute night gown and some awesome slippers!
Ireland was so excited about her suitcase from Santa. She has been asking for one of these since we got home from Disney World!
After the present opening, they packed up their toys in their new suitcases and took them to the entry way by the front door and played there for about 30 minutes! It was the funnest thing!
We left yesterday and we stopped in Waco at the best BBQ place ever! Its called Rudys and we had to stop one more time before we move up north... were I am sure the BBQ is nothing like it is in Texas! :*(
I left some presents at home from Gramma & Papa King and from Nana & Papaw. So the girls got to each open 2 more presents when they got home (like the needed any more!!) They were pretty excited about it!
As you can see, it was a great holiday! We are so thankful for all our family! And of course the birth of Jesus! :)
Now our lives will be getting very crazy... we move to Washington in just a few short days. So needless to say, I probably won't be posting any blogs for a while... I will try to keep you all updated on our progress. Prayers would be wonderful... we have to drive from Oklahoma to Washington in the van while towing the Jeep... in the middle of winter (all of you from Wyoming can understand my nervousness)... so prayers for a safe drive are very much needed! Thanks and love you all!
