Fun in the sun....

Well, our move is done. We made it to Oklahoma and on to Texas for a short visit... that is where we are now. Chris' family haven't seen the girls since last July, so this trip was long over due! We are having lots of fun here but we are already missing Colorado! This weather will take some time to get use to!
There are kind of a lot of pictures on this post so enjoy!
Oh, and I will get a post of our new house as soon as I get it cleaned up and ready to show off! :)

The girls playing Legos with Connor... Ireland and Chloe LOVE Connor and he plays so good with them!

Gran really likes to take pictures of the girls and she takes one just about every morning after I do the girls hair... this is one of those pictures. Pretty cute!

I love Chloe's sassy attitude in this picture! Her true color coming out!

Playing on the swing in the back yard... they love this past time!

Ireland, Gran, and Chloe looking pretty! The girls have had a great time with their Great Gran! :)

Connor's school did a fundraiser at the local Chick-fil-A one night this week and they had lots of fun things to do there... like face painting. So we went to it and the girls got to pick out what they wanted painted on their faces... Gran took this picture after we got home in the side yard... I cannot get over how cute the girls look in it! What beautiful girls!

Other morning picture with a classic Ireland pose!

This is also another morning picture... Chloe trying to pose like Ireland. She doesn't have it down like Ireland yet... but I am sure its only a matter of time! :)
Ireland on the tramp... the girls have spent most of their time on the tramp, but you can't get very good pictures while they are on it, so this is the only one I have for you. And, YES... I let Chloe jump on it too even though she broke her leg last summer on this very one... and she loved every minute of it! :) And, NO... she did not break any sort of bone this time!

Last night Uncle Danny came over to use the garden hose to wash some tires... it wasn't long before Chloe felt like she needed to help him out! Uncle Danny ended up getting pretty wet by the end of it, but it was pretty fun to watch!
Chloe eventually got bored with the tire washing and the hose quickly turned into a drinking fountain... she was soaked by the end of it too...
This is the picture we will end on... she looks like a wet dog... a really CUTE wet dog!
As you can tell, the girls have had a great visit here! We head back to OK tomorrow and they are both really sad. Ireland has already asked me when we are coming back.
I will try to keep everyone posted on what is going on with Chris and his coming home... I can only say so much online, but I will try my best to keep you all informed!
And, bear with me while I don't have internet at my house... I will post another one as soon as I can!

One more for the road...

I figured I would post one more blog since are going to be out of commision for a while... Another one of Ireland singing. It is longer than the other ones... but I have to say, a little more intertaining! :) She just might have a future in entertainment!

First Harley ride!!!!

Ireland got to take her first motorcylce ride today! I wasn't sure how she was going to do but she did wonderful! She was so excited!!! You could just feel the joy coming out of her smile. Papaw just took her around the block. She actually got to take 2 rides because she loved the first one so much. Papaw said the first ride she held on so tight and never let her grip loosen even a tiny bit... but he said by the second ride she was taking one hand off to adjust her glasses and her helmet (yes, its a bike helmet). So you I guess you can say she is a natural! :)
Enjoy the pictures!

Chloe didn't get a ride... she is still a little timid and a little little :). But she did get to sit on the bike with Papaw. She did pretty good with that... she was a little scared but she got use to it. What she really liked was wearing Nana's helmet... I got a pretty cute picture of that!
I love that picture... she is too funny!

We took the plunge...

We bought the bunk bed! :) I went and bought it tonight and I am super excited!!! I am not telling the girls we got it and I am just going to surprise them with it in Oklahoma!!
Danny and I are going to leave a day earlier than my parents and the girls so we will get it all set up and ready to go before they get there... they will be so SHOCKED when they walk into their room and they have their awesome bed! I can't wait!!!
Anyways... thanks for all your opinions! It helped me make the decision!!! :)

Potential bunk bed...

So, Chris and I decided that we were going to get the girls bunk beds when we moved to Oklahoma. All they have for beds back there are cribs... and they have both our grown them for sure!!! I have been shopping around online and yesterday we went to American Furniture Warehouse and found this bunk bed... well, its not really a bunk bed. It sits a lot lower to the ground and the bottom bed in on casters that lock. So I would have to pull the bottom bed out every night. I don't think it would be a big deal but I wanted to get all your opions... do you guys think I would get annoyed with this bed after a while? The thing that I really LOVE about this bed it all the storage... there is a ton! And Ireland is head over heels in love with this one too... probably because it is pink and purple!
So, what are your ideas? Do it? Find another? I just can't decide!!!
Oh, and it is on sale for $300 less right now... so that is another thing in its favor! So take a look and leave me a comment about what you think! :)
Oh, I almost forgot... Ireland has agreed to sleep on the bottom bed so there won't be any fights about that (yeah right).

So this is love... do do do do...

This video of Ireland is so funny!!! She is a born entertainer! She really starts to get into the song towards the end! It reminds me so much of this video that Maren posted for me almost 2 years ago... http://theshellabys.blogspot.com/2007_08_12_archive.html

Ireland has improved her singing (and performing) skills a bit since then! I hope you all like the video and there are 2 new blogs under this one... so read on!

Fancy Nancy...

Gran got Chloe this dress up for her birthday... it is from a series of books called Fancy Nancy... the girls love the books and Chloe loves this dress up! It is by far one of her favorites!
Gran has been asking me to post some pictures of Chloe in it... so here you go! :)
Sorry about the messy face... it was right after dinner. :)

These are the days of our lives...

So, here is a blog about the last week or so of our lives. Nothing too exciting has been going on around here... besides packing and what not... and to be honest... not much packing has been going on either. I know this might be shocking to some of you... but I am kind of putting off packing. It is SO unlike me to do such a thing! :) Maybe next week will be better! Haha...
So, enjoy the pictures... there are some from our Earth Day celebration, pulling weeds with Nana, playing outside, and some pretty funny Chloe pictures at the end...

For Earth Day we walked down to the local flower shop to buy some flowers to plant. We were blessed with some wonderful weather so it was really fun. After we got back from our walk, Nana (with no help from me... I don't have much of a green thumb) helped the girls plant their flowers. Ireland was really into it! She loved the planting and watering. She asks everyday to go water her flowers... even if it is raining. :)
We also learned about conserving energy and not being wasteful of things... Irealnd took this to heart. She is now very careful about turning off lights when she (or anyone else) leaves a room and making sure you turn the sink off when you aren't using it... she even turns the water off when she is washing her hands, in between the soap scrubbing and rinsing... :) I am so proud...
Oh, and she always reminds me to bring our shopping bags... every time we are leaving the house... even if we aren't shopping! Ha... I guess you can say our Earth Day talk was a hit!

Chloe helping with the flowers!

Watering..

Proud of their new garden!

Ireland asked to have her picture taken next to the flowers she picked out... I think it is a mighty cute picture of her!

Ireland helping Nana pull weeds. She didn't want to sit in the dirt, so she is sitting on a bucket just like Papaw would!

Chloe playing in the sandbox instead of pulling weeds... who can blame her?

The other night durning dinner Chloe asked to go potty. She was in there a little too long so I went to go check on her... when I got to the bathroom this is what I found....
She said she was trying to put on a "swimming fing (thing)" and got stuck... I was laughing so hard I was crying!
Oh, for those of you who don't have small kids... that is a potty seat she is "wearing"... gross, I know...
Luckily it was a bath night so I didn't feel too bad!
She was pretty stuck... she couldn't get it off herself. So...

she was lucky Papaw was there to lend a helping hand! There is NEVER a boring day when Chloe is around! :)
