Our Christmas fun!

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I know we did! We got to go to Texas and spend the holiday with Chris' family. It was so great. The girls had a wonderful time! Between pink eye and windy weather, they got lots of time to play with their cousin Connor and spend hours on the trampoline! I have posted a load of pictures below to try and give you a glimpse of our Christmas! Enjoy!

Gran ordered a ham from the HoneyBaked Ham store... this is the line Kellie and I had to wait in to pick up the dang thing... and this is AFTER we had waited in line for about 30 minutes already! It was a looooong wait... but a yummy ham!

It is one of our family traditions to make sugar cookies for Santa... well, this year we weren't with Nana, so they didn't get made from scratch. I bought some premade stuff and we just decorated them and then ate them! Santa was lucky 2 actually lasted until Christmas Eve for him!

You can tell in this picture that Ireland's eye is a little red. She ended up getting pink eye (which Chloe had before we left for Texas). But Ireland's eye ended up getting scratched or something and it got a lot worse than normal pink eye. Poor thing couldn't even keep it open for most of Christmas Eve.
We were so happy to have Daddy home with us this year! Its hard to believe that only a year ago he was over in Iraq all alone for Christmas! We were very blessed this year!

It is also a tradition to open jammies on Christmas Eve. They girls each got a cute night gown and some awesome slippers!

Picking out Santa's cookies

(You can see how bad her eye was in this picture. Luckily it was much better the next morning)

Santa was good to them this year!

And so was everyone else! There were so many presents!

Chloe was asking for a green duck for Christmas from Santa... she got one!

Ireland was so excited about her suitcase from Santa. She has been asking for one of these since we got home from Disney World!

Here is just a glimpse of the present opening...

One of my favorite presents they got... these coats are from Nana and Papaw... they are wonderful!

After the present opening, they packed up their toys in their new suitcases and took them to the entry way by the front door and played there for about 30 minutes! It was the funnest thing!

3 Musketeer Chloe (another gift from Santa)

Chris had a lot of fun with Connor's Christmas presents!

Chloe in her awesome new coat!

We left yesterday and we stopped in Waco at the best BBQ place ever! Its called Rudys and we had to stop one more time before we move up north... were I am sure the BBQ is nothing like it is in Texas! :*(

I left some presents at home from Gramma & Papa King and from Nana & Papaw. So the girls got to each open 2 more presents when they got home (like the needed any more!!) They were pretty excited about it!
As you can see, it was a great holiday! We are so thankful for all our family! And of course the birth of Jesus! :)
Now our lives will be getting very crazy... we move to Washington in just a few short days. So needless to say, I probably won't be posting any blogs for a while... I will try to keep you all updated on our progress. Prayers would be wonderful... we have to drive from Oklahoma to Washington in the van while towing the Jeep... in the middle of winter (all of you from Wyoming can understand my nervousness)... so prayers for a safe drive are very much needed! Thanks and love you all!

WLC graduation

For the past 15 days Chris has been at WLC... its a training to teach them how to be leaders... Warrior Leadership Course.
Yesterday was the last day and Chris' graduation. It was a nice ceremony. We are so happy that he is done and back home!
My camera was acting funny... for some reason it wouldn't take action pics. It would do still ones fine, but the action shots are all blurry.
So here Chris is getting his diploma! So proud of him!
Here is the whole class saying the NCO's creed. It is pretty cool to hear a group of over 20 guys saying the same thing all together. You can hear the pride in their voices. Very cool!
We are so glad that he is home now! The girls sure did miss him (I guess I did too... but just a little bit). We decided to go out to eat for dinner. Chris wanted some steak so we went to a new steakhouse called Santa Fe Steakhouse. It was soooo yummy!
Can you tell she was happy to have him home?
We had such a good time out as a family! So glad this time away was only 2 weeks... instead of 15 months!
Since we were celebrating, Chris let the girls get dessert. They got to have some dirt pie!!! It was so cute! It came in a little flower pot and everything... crushed Oreos, chocolate & peanut butter pudding, and gummy worms!
We figured the girls would LOVE it!
Well, Ireland loved it! She really thought the gummy worms were cool! This was the first time they had gummy worms so it was all new to them.
Chloe actually didn't like it at all! She was actually scared of the worms! I picked one up and tried to get her to eat it and she screamed and tried to climb out of our booth! After that she didn't even want to eat the pudding and cookies! Another random thing to add to the list of Chloe fears!
Outside there was this Longhorn.... the girls thought it was neat. For those of you who know Chloe, this is actually a big step for her! She use to be scared of animal statues... wouldn't even get near them. So the fact that she is sitting on this is huge! And of course, we had to show off our Longhorn pride! HOOK EM' HORNS! :)

Home again, home again!

Well, we got home from my sisters house yesterday. We sure did have a good time! The kids love to play with eachother! Silas just LOVES Ireland! My sister already posted a blog about some of the things we did while we were there, so here are some leftover photos!

We went to the mall to play at the play area. Silas just loved it! He made me laugh the whole time because he just walks around yelling... at nothing really... just yelling! It was so funny!

All the kids really enjoyed going out and playing. They had been stuck in the house for days so they were ready to be set free!
Yesterday before we left we tried to get a good picture of the 4 cousins... not an easy thing to do! There isn't one where all of them are looking and smiling... but they all made me smile when I looked at them!

(by the way... the sweaters Ireland and Chloe are wearing are from Childrens Place... for $5!!!! I don't know how long the sale lasts, but its worth getting online to check it out! They are good quality, heavy sweater.)
We had a really great time in Kansas. It is the last time we get to go there before we move... so it was kind of bitter sweet... We are so excited to move to Washington and ready for this new adventure. But we are going to miss being so close to family! It will be hard to get use to the fact that we can't drive to see them easily anymore!
But we all know know that won't stop us from visiting!

Ok, these next few pictures are from before we left for KS. They girls had just watched Barbie 4 Musketeer on tv... when it was over, Ireland promptly dressed herself and Chloe up as musketeers... The following pictures are some classic ones... you are in for a treat!
Aren't they the best looking Musketeers you've ever seen!? I love it!
Chris is gone at a training. So that means the girls and I are on our own for a while. Please pray that Chris does good in training. Love you all!
