this is why we "love" Oklahoma!!!

i don't know if any of you have been watching the weather channel... but if you have, you know that there is some pretty nasty weather around the Oklahoma and Texas area... ice storms and such. well, we are stuck right smack in the middle of it! we have been stuck in the house for the past 3 days!!! and let me just tell you what... Ireland is starting to go NUTS!!! and so am i. and to make things even more super, Chris has CQ duty (i don't know what that means) and he has to be on post for the next 24 hours... from 9am on Sunday to 9 am on Monday. so not only have i been stuck in the house for the past 3 days with 2 kids, now i have to do it without my other half... so needless to say, i am a little bit overwhelmed! oh, and for those of you who don't know, our apartment is a whooping 840 sq ft... so we have "lots" of space to move around and keep busy!
to help the girls stay busy, chris got out a little blow up boat that has balls in it... they didn't really like it. chloe played in it more than ireland... but at least we tired. i think Ireland has watched more tv in the past few days than she has in her whole life!
last night i gave the girls a really long bath and they loved that! so that was wonderful! they play so great together in the bath!
other than that, we have just been keeping busy reading books, playing play-doh, coloring, reading the leap pad. hopefully this is the last of the freezing rain and we will get kids out in the next few days!
chris did give ireland some black olives for dinner last night. she has had them before, but never whloe black olives. so this was the first time she got to put them on her fingers... and she thought that was just the coolest thing! it was pretty funny to watch! she gets her love of olives from chris... not me YUCK!!!!
well, i guess we should count our blessings in the fact that we still have power and are safe... there are many people that aren't in the same situation right now... so please be praying for us and i will keep you updated!

at least you have electricity! i can understand being overwhelmed with being a shut-in, being at home with the kids for more than one day is enough to drive me batty!

I love that picture of them in the bath together! Getting so big...when do we get to hang out again? Are you coming at all when mum is here? I think it would be fun if you came for a few days...just an idea!

Looks like Ireland is going to like black olives lke her Dad does. I use to buy cans of them for him and he would eat all of them and also drink the juice. Chloe looks like she is having fun in the boat.

Looks like all things are well... The two angels are something else. Spring is around the corner and as soon as you guys get down here we will get that grill fired up and put some meat on it.

Kimmi and Chris....
Your girls are just beautiful. This site is really neat. I'm sorry we missed you when you were here last, but hope to get to see you next time. Always know you are welcome to come and stay with us, as well.

Give the girls big hugs and kisses from us.
