Bird Nest

Ireland and Chloe made a bird nest at the park this weekend. They have such great imaginations! I love to watch them play and see the games they come up with.
This day it was a game of birds. From what I could tell, they weren't the birds. They were taking care of them... I think. Do you know how to make a bird nest? No? Well, let me show you...
First, you need lots of sticks, pine cones, and wood chips... start with the wood chips in a circle shape. Build it out from there.

Make sure you have plenty of pine cones... they are an important part of the nest. They keep everything together. And you might decide you want to pretend to be a bunny or something... you'll need some pine cones for that too.
Make sure you take your time and get everything just right. Birds don't like to hatch in messy nests.

Once you are done, sit back and relax (and look cute) and wait for your "bird eggs" to hatch.
You will be waiting a long time of course... because the eggs are really just rocks.
So, if you get bored let your mom talk you into smiling (again) for the camera and taking some cute pictures.
And that my friends is how you make a bird nest... sort of. As long as your birds are pretend and your eggs are rocks!
